Frequently Asked Questions
My alarm didn't go off. What happened?
Make sure notifications are enabled for Abs Lock in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings → Notifications → Abslock and ensure Allow Notifications is on. Also check that Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode isn't blocking alerts at your alarm time.
How does the sit-up detection work?
Abs Lock uses your phone's camera with on-device pose detection to count your reps. Prop your phone up so it can see your upper body, then start repping. Everything is processed locally on your device — no video is ever recorded, uploaded, or stored.
The camera isn't counting my reps correctly.
For best results:
- Place your phone 4–6 feet away, propped at roughly waist height
- Make sure you're in a well-lit room
- Wear clothing that contrasts with your background
- Keep your full upper body visible in frame
Can I change the number of sit-ups?
Yes. Tap any alarm on the home screen to edit it. You can set anywhere from 10 to 50 sit-ups per alarm.
How do streaks work?
Complete your sit-ups when your alarm goes off and your streak grows by one day. Miss a day and it resets to zero. Your best streak is always saved.
What is Abs Lock Premium?
Premium unlocks additional features like custom ringtones, auto-scaling difficulty, and more. You can subscribe monthly or annually. Manage your subscription through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not directly by us:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Abslock → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Abslock → Cancel
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile in the app and tap "Delete Account." Your personal data will be removed within 30 days. You can also email us at support@abslock.app to request deletion.
